Of course this is a tradition that was passed down from Tohei Sensei to Suzuki Sensei who shared it with many of you as well as Curtis Sensei. This tradition has been a regular ceremony on Maui and now is a regular ceremony with HKF. The origins of Omiki come from Shinto. Omiki means Sacred Rice Wine. This sake is poured by the teacher for each student at the beginning and end of the year. Please enjoy the passionate discussion that

Germany Q&A – “Is everyone as fake as me?”
On September 26th, 2009 Curtis Sensei recorded this Q & A in Bubenreuth, Germany. What transpired was a very open and honest lecture and discussion on training and the world we live in. Sensei always loves teaching in Europe and this is your opportunity to listen in while he discusses an email he received from a student on Maui. Please note that Curtis Sensei is confidential with all correspondence written and verbal, however, he did receive permission for use of this email in his teaching. This is one of my favorite chapters of the entire book. Maybe because this ki lecture, which occurred on the island of Kauai, really was clear and to the point.
